The History of Narai Hotel
Narai Hotel has been charming visitors to Bangkok since 1968. Although much has changed over the years, our hotel still retains the historical charm and Thai hospitality it is renowned for.
Today Narai Hotel continues to enjoy its prime location in Silom, on the doorstep of Chong Nonsi BTS station and an easy walk from restaurants, shopping, dining and entertainment.
Named for one of Thailand’s kings (Narai the Great), the hotel pays homage to its royal namesake with the Narai Buntom Sithu and Royal Barge Suphannahong sculptures. Narai is also the Thai name for the Hindu deity Vishnu, and guests will notice the elegant bas-relief of Vishnu on the wall in front of the main staircase.
Narai cares about the environment and the community we’ve called home for over five decades. We make every effort to emit as little pollution as possible, to be energy efficient and to give back to the community wherever we can.
Narai Hotel is the recipient of numerous awards, for both our customer service and our CSR efforts. We’d like to say a big thank you to all of our guests for your glowing reviews and helping to put us in the spotlight for the many awards we’ve won over the years. It’s been our pleasure to be your host and we look forward to welcoming you back to Narai Hotel soon!
